The Nevada Nurses Association would like to inform you of the officical launch of Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation Nevada!
What is Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation?
Launched by the American Nurses Association in 2017, this national initiative is designed to improve the health and well-being of nurses across the country. Because when nurses are healthier, our patients, communities, and the entire healthcare ecosystem benefit.
A healthy nurse is one who is in — or striving toward — a positive state of physical, psycho-emotional, social, environmental, and professional well-being.
The Six Pillars of Nurse Wellness
This initiative focuses on six core dimensions of wellness:

Physical Activity – move more, sit less

Rest – prioritize sleep and recovery

Nutrition – fuel your body with healthy choices
-
Quality of Life – nurture balance, joy, and meaning

Safety – protect yourself in and out of the workplace

Mental Health – build resilience, manage stress

Our Nevada Relaunch
We’re relaunching Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation Nevada to align with NNA’s state-level strategic goals. We’ll offer programming, events, and ongoing support designed to help you apply these six wellness pillars in practical, meaningful ways in your day-to-day life.
To get us started, we’re kicking off with an October Challenge :
1. Go to hnhn.org and sign up
2. Complete the Wellness Assessment
3. Join our Facebook group / page (link below), introduce yourself, and tell us which areas you plan to focus on
4. Text healthynurse to 52886 to subscribe to national challenges and wellness tips
